LafargeHolcim is one of the world’s leading suppliers of cement, concrete and aggregates. The LafargeHolcim R&D Centre near Lyon, France, is the biggest research facility focusing construction materials. It employs over 200 people in R&D activities (about 80 with PhDs) at the corporate level and also provides technical support and knowledge transfer to the LafargeHolcim business units worldwide. The lab activity focuses on physical and chemical mechanisms relevant for the material performance evaluation. This allows LafargeHolcim to elaborate new technologies and to speed up the time to market for LafargeHolcim’s innovative cement and concrete products.

The very large panel of graduated researchers covers all the relevant topics from organic synthesis to concrete mix design, mechanical properties or long term durability.
